You can see that the rhythm parts only play for four of the eight bars. This is because in the DAW the parts repeat every four bars. While they could have been doubled in length before they were exported from the DAW, this would have taken twice the memory. Instead, you can quickly loop a clip within the Music Segment Editor timeline. This is done by moving the small gray square icons in the lower corners of the clip.
-
Drag the lower-right clip handle to the right until it extends to the beginning of bar 9.
The HiHat is now looped so that it plays the entire length of the Music Segment. A vertical dashed line denotes where the clip begins to repeat. Note that this does not increase memory use in the game, as the same audio source is referenced each time the clip is looped. Itβs possible to edit multiple clips simultaneously by clicking and dragging a selection rectangle.
-
Starting from the right side of one of the two bottom clips, click and drag the selection rectangle until it overlaps both of the bottom two rhythm clips.
-
Drag either of the clip handles to loop both of the clips for the full 8 bars.
Now the rhythm clips will play for the full length of the Combat-A music.
-
Play the Combat Music Playlist Container to hear the rhythm parts added to the Music Segment.
