Configuring Sub-Tracks

You now have three versions of an arpeggio track, for which only one should be heard at a time. This is also the case for the bass tracks, as well as the guitars and strings. To configure the Combat-A Music Segment so that only one of these variations is heard at a time, you can add something called a Sub-Track to a Music Track. Sub-Tracks can be thought of a bit like a feature found on many DAWs which allows multiple versions of a track to exist within a primary track. While only one of the versions can be heard at any one time, the other versions are never forgotten and can be quickly recalled to see how a different version of a track might sound when played with the rest of the music. In this sense, Wwise Sub-Tracks offer this capability but with some unique features you wouldn’t find in a DAW.
