Modules
If you completed Module 15: Using Soundcaster and Module 16: Configuring a Mixing Desk, you already know how those tools can help you play multiple sounds quickly and modify the properties that affect those sounds. However, if you're only using a keyboard and mouse, you can only adjust one parameter in Wwise at a time. In this module, you'll learn to go beyond this limitation and dramatically enhance your productivity using an external MIDI-based control surface as an alternate input device.
Wwise allows you to map multiple object properties and other Wwise commands such as Play, to multiple physical controls such as the knobs, faders, and buttons found on common MIDI control devices. This provides a tactile connection to the sounds you’re working on and allows you to manipulate multiple properties simultaneously, speeding up your workflow.
