Why choose SoundSeed?
Break the Paradigm
- Have you ever gone over budget adding variety to the audio in your game?
- Have you ever had to remove sounds in your game to meet the constraints of a platform?
- Do you feel that your creativity is being stifled by constraints, restrictions, and trade-offs?
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then it's time you took a look at SoundSeed™. With SoundSeed, sound designers can create highly immersive audio environments while keeping memory usage as well as recording and production costs at a minimum.
Increase audio variety, not memory usage
SoundSeed frees you from the limitations that result from using traditional audio files. With SoundSeed, audio is generated using innovative DSP technology creating a host of new possibilities. You can generate many types of sounds, or variations on a sound, making your game truly immersive without eating up runtime memory.
Take advantage of runtime audio control
SoundSeed generates audio using parametric and modal-based synthesis. Both techniques use parameters that can be modified in real time as the game is being played. This gives you the flexibility to control different components of your audio based on specific elements or scenarios of the game. You can, for example, modify runtime CPU usage based on either the importance of a sound within the context of the game or on the distance between the source of the sound and the listener. SoundSeed's parameters can even be controlled by game elements such as physics or artificial intelligence.
Reduce production cost and time
SoundSeed allows you to save on recording time and costs by reducing the need for recorded audio in your game. Many of the sounds that would traditionally be recorded, including wind, woosh, and impact sound variations, can be generated using SoundSeed's innovative synthesis techniques.
Invent new sounds
SoundSeed opens up possibilities that previously did not exist. With SoundSeed, sounds within your game will not necessarily be based on any real-world sounds but will be generated from various sound components and parameters. This means that you can create sounds that were previously unimaginable or impossible to record.
