Audiokinetic has partnered with effect plug-in developer McDSP to provide Wwise users with a selection of McDSP’s award-winning plug-ins directly in Wwise.  These real-time plug-ins, which are a staple for many audio professionals in the film and music industries, have until now only been available for Pro Tools. By integrating these real-time plug-ins directly into Wwise, game developers can now leverage the power of these effect plug-ins to push the limits of their game audio.

The McDSP effects bundle includes the following plug-ins:

• FutzBox Lo-Fi Distortion effect: A distortion and noise generator plug-in that creates low fidelity signals from otherwise well recorded audio tracks. FutzBox is perfect for simulating communication devices, radios, and televisions.
• ML1 Mastering Limiter effect: A mastering limiter that uses a flexible brick wall look-ahead design coupled with multiple stages of limiting for superior peak detection.  The unique Knee and Mode controls allow the ML1 to handle any kind of material with a variety of responses ranging from transparent to aggressive.

The McDSP effects are available for all platforms; however, they require a separate license, unless they are purchased as part of the Wwise Power Pack bundle.
