Wwise Sample Project
Audiokinetic has prepared a sample project demonstrating real world sound design examples within a fictional game. We encourage you to have a close look at this project to see how Wwise can manage game audio in one complete project.
This project is available in the Downloads section under Wwise > Wwise (latest version) > Samples.
AkCube Sample Game Integration
Audiokinetic integrated the Wwise sound engine into the first person shooter game Cube. This version of Cube is provided to help you better understand how to integrate the Wwise sound engine into your game. This game was chosen as an example for the simplicity of its structure, and because it is relatively easy to make modifications, if needed.
This game, including source code and the Wwise project, is available in the Downloads section under Wwise > Wwise (latest version) > Samples.
SoundSeed Impact Sample Project
This Wwise project contains a series of SoundSeed Impact samples that highlight SoundSeed Impact Technology. All of the included models have been created using the SoundSeed Impact Modeler.
This project is available in the Downloads section under SoundSeed Impact > SoundSeed Impact (latest version) > Samples.
Wwise SDK Samples
The Wwise SDK contains several samples with source code:
- Sample Effect and Source Plug-ins: Sine Generator, Tone Generator, Audio Input Plug-in, MP3 Source Plug-in, Delay effect. These are more than just samples -- they are the actual plug-ins that are part of the Wwise authoring application and SDK.
- Integration Demo: Simple program demonstrating the integration of the Wwise sound engine.
- Sound Engine Sample DLL: How to wrap the sound engine inside a DLL to be used by your Windows-based game.
- Default Low-Level I/O and File Packager Implementation: Full source code of the default low-level I/O and File Packager that are provided with Wwise. You can use this to customize how the Streaming Manager will deal with files and/or how data files get packaged into bigger binary files.
- SoundFrame Samples: Car Simulator, 3dsMax plug-in.
- Source Control Plug-ins: Sources for the Perforce and Subversion plug-ins, as well as a more basic sample plug-in which can be used to write your own source control plug-in.
- And more...
These are available in the Wwise SDK. For more information, refer to the Wwise SDK documentation, under "Samples".
Customer-Provided Samples
Our good friend Scott Bilas, who worked on the audio for the Tornado Outbreak game, was kind enough to publish his Wwise project on his blog:

You'll also find the PowerPoint presentation from the talk he and Robert Ridihalgh made ("Tornado Outbreak + Wwise = Love") in 2009 at the Wwise Tour in Seattle.
